For Musescore, theres an active community, especially on reddit, and for Reaper, the youtube channel Reapermania has more than enough info on how to use it. Theres plenty of resources online for both softares, so if youre experiencing any issues, it wont be hard to find a solution. Both programs are free and have manual note writing in them, so if you want to write something you cant play yet, its not a problem. For actually writing it all digitally, I'd recommend Musescore if you want to write traditional sheet music, and Reaper by Cockos if youre wanting more electronic sounds. The more you do it, the better you get at it. Once you get a good handle on that, you can write some pretty great stuff from there. As for writing music, Ive been studying writing music for a few years now, and if youre just beginning at that, the most important things you should research are chord progressions and voice leading. Assuming youre not doing any professional, live performances, I think the Yamaha PSR-EW310 is a good option. If you want it to feel like a real piano, youll want weighted keys, but those get much more expensive, really quickly. If you get a cheap beginner one, you'll outgrow it soon enough, and upgrading to an intermediate model will be more expensive than starting out on it. I would go for a middle of the road keyboard, because you wont feel like you need to upgrade until youre getting really decent at it. If youre wanting to get a keyboard, Yamaha or Casio is gonna be your best bet overall.
